Dhaka University's Central Coordination Committee for Observing Amar Ekushey has drawn up a route map for the people who will come to Central Shaheed Minar and Azimpur Graveyard to pay tribute to the martyrs of language movement on February 21.

The route map will take effect from 7pm on February 20, according to a press release.

According to the route, people will be able to enter Azimpur graveyard through the north gate of the graveyard via the old High Court road, Doyel Chattar Crossing, Bangla Academy, TSC crossing, road beside the vice chancellor's (VC) residence, and New Market crossing.

After offering prayer at the graves of the martyrs, the visitors will have to exit through the main gate (south) of the graveyard and go to Shaheed Minar via Azimpur Road, Palashi crossing, Fuller Road using the road in front of Salimullah Muslim and Jagannath halls.

People who want to go to the Shaheed Minar without visiting the graveyard will have to use the road on the left of Nilkhet police outpost (west of Zahurul Haq Hall) after crossing the VC's residence.

The public can also reach the Shaheed Minar using the road in front of Home Economics College and Eden College via Azimpur and Palashi crossings.

From the Chankharpul area, people can go to Shaheed Minar through the Bakshi Bazar and Palashi crossings via the road in front of Salimullah Muslim Hall and Jagannath Hall.

It is worth noting that the road on the east of Jagannath Hall from TSC will remain completely closed. The road from VC's residence to Fuller Road crossing and the road from Chankharpul to Doel Chattar will remain closed for the public.

After paying homage at the Shaheed Minar, people can exit through the road in front of the university playground, Doyel Chattar and Chankharpul.
