At the Country Living Fair Atlanta, one of the speakers was
Deb Foglia, author of the blog "Seeking Lavender Lane".
She shared tips on how she and her husband have
transformed their "cookie-cutter" house by adding Farmhouse
decor and  design on a budget. She has great ideas!

I took photos of the screen images that she shared with us
so I could share them with you. I promise I was not drunk
when I was taking these photos or when I was editing the
photos...it just looks that way.

Here is more information on Jen...

This is an example of the type house she and her
husband bought four years ago.

She says to add charm to your home with chippy, vintage
Farmhouse accessories.

These are some of her favorite places to shop for
Farmhouse accessories on a budget.

She advises to go for a mix of real vintage pieces and new
decor pieces for a fresh and interesting look. Scope out
old and new pieces that mesh well together.

A big factor in getting a modern Farmhouse feel on a
budget is to be willing to Do It Yourself.

On her blog you can learn how they turned an ugly ceiling
top cart, painted furniture they already had and many more
projects under her "DIY Projects" tab in the header.

Deb advises that a great front door for a Farmhouse
will usually have a vintage charm LOOK (can be new)
and large panes. It can be stained or painted.
Also pay attention to light fixtures on the porch.
Rocking chairs, porch swings, greenery, etc. add to curb appeal.

Here's how you can keep up with Deb and get more
great ideas for your home.
